The other names on your shortlist.
Most of these we coexist with, and the pages say so plainly. Two of them we argue with. Where the other tool is the better buy for what you are actually trying to do, that is written down too — it is cheaper for both of us than finding out in month three.
Grouped by what the tool actually is
If AI is one slice of a much bigger cloud bill
Four of these read the same provider bills we do, and they sit next to the EC2 line we don't touch. If nobody at your company is asking you to move the traffic — only to explain it — one of them is probably the better buy, and we'd say so on a call.
- CloudZero attributes the invoice. We gate the next change.
- Vantage shows what you rented. We prove what you changed.
- Finout's agents act on your infrastructure. We act inside the call.
- IBM shipped AI TCO in August. Here is what it still doesn't decide.
If something already sits in the request path
Portkey open-sourced its entire gateway under Apache 2.0 in March 2026. If all you want is one endpoint across many models, that is an afternoon's work and you do not need us for it.
Two of these are closer to us than any FinOps platform. Cast AI routes to a cheaper model and optimizes GPUs inside one product. Workato matches us on attribution, on routing and on per-key budgets — we lose the first two rows of that page outright, and the page says so. What neither of them does is test whether the cheaper model still answered as well.
- Gateways move the traffic. Something still has to account for it.
- Cast AI makes the machine cheaper. We change the call.
- Workato governs what an agent may do. We govern what the call was worth.
If the real question is hardware, or tracing
Both of these stay installed. Datadog is the right tool for latency and errors and replacing it is not something we are trying to do. Run:ai builds a better scheduler than anything we will ever ship, and its core has been open source since NVIDIA released KAI Scheduler.
- A scheduler packs the cluster. It doesn't defend the invoice.
- Tracing tells you what happened. It doesn't tell you what it was worth.
One thing you will not find on any of these pages is a savings percentage. We have no verified customer outcomes yet. Inventing a range would undercut the only thing we are actually selling, which is that the number can be checked.
